As well as getting creative with web design I've also been trying out some animation with Goanimate! an online animation tool. It's very simple to use and even lets you upload your own images and content to use in your animations. My six year old daughter help me make the first animation below, while I did the second one all on my own.

I really enjoyed your animation Mr Greig. I especially enjoyed the moment when the pet dog licks up the molten lava! This seems like a great way for students to narrate a sequence of events, carefully structuring their description with an audience in mind. Yours is a great example of how this can be done. I wonder if adding sound effects might make it even more dramatic and engaging?
